Contents
1. Luxurious Body Sugar Scrub
Essential oils are excellent for use in the bathroom. Sugar scrubs are a super easy essential oils DIY to make. You wouldn’t believe how fast and cheap you can make these. And I bet you have the ingredients in your pantry already! Add fractionated coconut oil for that extra bit of moisturizing qualities.
A sugar scrub gift is also easy to dress up. Use a cute mason jar with a holiday-themed lid, or red-green yarn wrap to kick it up a notch. This must be my favorite gift idea of all times. I’ve gifted this so many times already!
Start with a basic Lemon sugar scrub recipe. If you feel adventurous, make a oatmeal-honey variation. You can also opt to use Himalayan sea salt instead of your regular salt for that extra luxurious punch! Or substitute the recommended oils with your own essential oil blend combination.
Honestly, with sugar scrubs, the sky is the limit! Use your full imagination to create a sugar scrub recipe that matches your tastes, style, or available oils.
2. Essential Oil Candles
Nothing says “Holidays” more than beautiful scented candles. If you don’t want to use an essential oil diffuser, a natural scented candle is your best alternative. For your festive DIY candles, use holiday inspired essential oil blends or stick to simple scents such as Cinnamon, Cassia or Sweet Orange. Essential are extremely potent and provide scent and additional health benefits to your home.
Candles are best to make in batches as you’ll be needing a double-boiler to melt the wax in. Avoid too much clean-up and get yourself producing gifts for everyone in no time!
3. Bath Salts
Bath salts as a gift are a hit no matter the gender of your loved one! You can make muscle-soothing bath salts for the sporty men in your life, or a relaxing self-care scented bath salt for your best friend or mom.
Customize this DIY bath salt gift by using your preferred essential oils or homemade essential oil blend.
Easily dressed up in a mason jar, this DIY bath salt recipe makes a beautiful gift that’ll surely get used.

4. Essential Oil Roller Bottles
If you’re gifting to anyone new to essential oils, a roll-on bottle will be a hit.
Within it, the essential oils will be properly diluted and your giftee can start enjoying aromatherapy right away. Also, they won’t need an essential oil diffuser to start enjoying the beautiful natural scents.
You can style and personalize these DIY roller bottles depending on which empty rollers you buy. They don’t have to be brown/black. Amazon has plenty of cute choices for gold, purple, red, white, or anything in-between.
Make sure you buy a product with dark amber glass as the base, so that the essential oils retain their therapeutic qualities and lifespan.
5. Foaming Hand Soap
If you know your giftee will appreciate all things natural, surprise them with a DIY essential oil foaming hand soap.
Rivaling the popular Young Living Thieves® hand soap, you can use any alternative germ-busing essential oil blends. Plant Therapy’s KidSafe Germ Destroyer blend works great for a household that has little ones running around. Feel free to spice up this awesome hand soap recipe with your own choice of oils, too.
You will need a few extra ingredients such as castile soap and aloe vera gel. unless you have these kicking around your pantry, plan ahead just a little bit to make sure these beautiful hand soap gifts are ready in time.
6. Bar Soaps
Bar soaps may sound intimidating, but they are surprisingly easy to make, and pair easy with Christmas essential oils.
Buy a simple melt-and-pour soap base, and customize your creation with an essential oil blend of choice. You’ll also have to decide on which soap molds to use. Christmas trees are seasonal and cute. But I’ve also used hearts, stars, sea shells, or flower-shaped molds before. You can also shape your soap into simple squares. Wrap them with a piece of paper to complete that ultra-natural DIY gift look.
7. Room Sprays
Who doesn’t like their home to smell fresh and clean? An essential oil room spray is a natural, non-toxic way to help with that.
Introduce essential oils to your loved ones with a simple, homemade room spray. I’ve also made an adaptation here for an organic car freshener spray.
While the article linked focuses on a yoga mat spray, the same disinfecting oils and qualities can be simply sprayed into the room – or bathroom, for example. Don’t shy away from this recipe just because it says ‘Yoga’. Try it out to disinfect your upholstery, car carpets, pet-traveled corners of your favorite lounging chair, etc.
Some oils have natural sanitizing properties, making them ideal for making cleaning products for your house. Mix and match your essential oils to find the scent you like best. Just make sure you stay within the recommended amount of drops used.

Hi Emma,
I would like to read a review from you on Plant Guru essential oils. They are available through Amazon though they do have their own website. I use them along with Plant Therapy and Eden’s Garden oils. I find that having several suppliers allows me to collect a larger variety of oils and to replenish at the best price point when I run out of an oil. I would like to mention GreenHealth oils are also sold on Amazon. This store is local so I went to check them out. I found their oils to be less odiferous but I know that does not mean they are any less therapeutic. Since I also like to diffuse oils I will only go to them from now on for hydrosols I am unable to make myself. I am happy with their hydrosols and the coffee Essential Oil I got from them. The black pepper was disappointing.
