A Quick Note on Aphrodisiac Essential Oils

If you’re wondering about the nitty-gritty details of aphrodisiac essential oils, I’ve got you covered in this article over here. It lists the 5 best essential oils that can ignite passion and romance.

For the purpose of comparing these love blends, I made sure that each blend featured at least one (or more) of some main aphrodisiac essential oils:

  • Ylang ylang
  • Jasmine
  • Rose
  • Vanilla

After that, the blends had very different essential oils, so I couldn’t get them all to jive on having all the same oils.

This is a bit different than my Thieves oils comparison, in which most of the blends from the different brands ended up using extremely similar ingredients.

Anyway! I hope you enjoy this deep-dive and in case you’re wondering already what my personal test winner was…. well, here it is:

Spoiler Alert: Test Winner Here

The blend that’s personally won my heart for being the best love essential oil blend, is Edens Garden’s “Be Mine”.

From the moment I first opened that bottle, I was so impressed! It smells so unique, unlike anything else I’ve came across.

I was utterly enchanted!

Hence the podium placement.

Find out more in the detailed comparison below.

Love Blends Comparison

best love oil blendWhether you’re preparing a sizzling date night, a cozy cuddle session, or are simply looking to add a dash of romance to your daily routine, I hope you find my blends test helpful & fun!!

The way I tested these oils was simply by smelling them myself. So this is not a scientific assessment by any means. Just my own experience and opinions.

I have also compared the blends’ ingredients and price points for you.

I hope this information helps you make the best choice based on what’s most important to YOU!

P.S. Of course, there are also other blends out there… these are just what I have tested, and there’s some fantastic options here!!

“Love” from Simply Earth

love blends from simply earth

The Love blend from Simply Earth comes in a roll-on, or in a 15 ml bottle
Check it out Here

The “Love” blend from Simply Earth supports romantic feelings by using the oils of Orange, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot & Amyris.

This is a simple blend, only 4 oils, and they all jive really nicely together.

If you like the aroma of Ylang Ylang essential oil, this blend is the perfect choice for you! I can definitely make out those unique flowery notes, but not in an overpowering kind of way. The blend is nicely balanced with the citrus notes of Orange and Bergamot. But it definitely smells like Ylang Ylang!

What I like about this product is that it comes in either a 15 ml bottle, or a handy 10 ml roller bottle. That way, you can quickly & easily use the roller as your evening perfume if you want.

Price: $18.99 for 15 ml. $9.99 for 10 ml roll-on

“Be Mine” from Edens Garden

The “Be Mine” blend from Edens Garden is a seasonal essential oil that’s only in stock early in the year, in time for Valentine’s day.

If you’re at all interested in having this oil, I recommend you snag it now before it’s gone again!

It’s an expertly crafted blend of Mandarin, Lavender, Damiana, and Vanilla CO2.

The citrus notes definitely lift this blend up to new heights. It’s like stepping into a sweet, happy embrace that whispers of cozy nights and tender moments. If I had to pick one main word, it would be citrusy and uplifting. Kind of like the way you feel when you’re in love and your “head is in the clouds”. But I can also smell the vanilla base note pulling this blend back to earth again, so it’s really quite a unique aromatic experience.

It’s really strange, this combination is so intriguing to me…. I can’t get enough of it!

Price: $14.95 for 10 ml

“Love” from Rocky Mountain Oils

love essential oil blend from Rocky Mountain Oils

Love blend from Rocky Mountain Oils
Check it out Here

Rocky Mountain Oils‘ Love blend is the only oil tested in this set that includes Fractionated Coconut Oil, which is a base oil (carrier oil). This means you shouldn’t put this love blend directly in your diffuser.

It is, however, still absolutely lovely for DIY recipes such as massage oils, candles, shower steamers or a simple perfume.

The ingredients are Lemon, Orange, Geranium, Bergamot, Mandarin, Ylang Ylang, and Rose in a base of FCO.

I experienced this blend to have a similar aroma to Simply Earth’s “Love” blend: strong on Ylang Ylang.

Maybe that’s just my nose (I don’t actually like Ylang Ylang). But what was different in this blend here, is that the Geranium notes also really come through. So it smells quite flowery and feminine, which again, may be great for a homemade perfume.

It’s definitely a blend worth trying, to invite more affection, connection, and passion into your life.

Price: $19.95 for 15 ml

“Love Vanilla” from Plant Therapy

The Valentine’s blend I chose from Plant Therapy is “Love Vanilla”, a flirty dance of sugar and sass paired with the herbaceous serenity of Sandalwood essential oil.

I love this exotic combination!

The ingredients are Vanilla, Copaiba, Ylang Ylang, and Australian Sandalwood, so it’s on the “heavier” side for aromas, not bright and citrusy as some of the other blends here.

But with “Love Vanilla”, every moment feels like the beginning of a love story. Sensual, solid, serene.

Definitely a contender for your Valentine’s day plans!

Price: $19.95 for 10 ml

“Be Mine” from REVIVE

Lastly, I tested “Be Mine” from REVIVE and at first sniff, it smelled like toothpaste to me. 😂

Ha ha, sorry REVIVE, I do love you guys but this blend is not my favorite creation of yours.

The ingredients are Camphor, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Ylang Ylang and Osmanthus essential oils.

So, if you need a freshening up aroma in the bedroom, this may be perfect for you! As for me, it didn’t make me feel too romantic.

On the bright side, REVIVE also has a Love & Romance blend, and an “Adore” Roll-On that you could check out.

Price: $21 for 15 ml

Why Use a Ready-Made Blend?

love essential oil blends

I love comparing blends! It’s so fun to see what all the EO companies are up offering.

Opting for a ready-made diffuser blend instead of creating your own can often be a more convenient and effective choice for several reasons:

  • Expert Formulation: Ready-made blends are crafted by aromatherapy experts who understand the intricate chemistry of essential oils. They know how to balance and combine scents to achieve a specific mood or benefit, ensuring that the blend is both safe and effective.
  • Consistency: With a pre-made blend, you get consistent results every time you use it. Crafting your own blend can lead to varying outcomes, depending on the accuracy of your measurements and the quality of individual oils you use.
  • Convenience: It saves time and effort. Instead of buying multiple individual oils and measuring out each one, a ready-made blend offers a hassle-free experience – just add a few drops to your diffuser and you’re good to go!
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Buying several different oils to create a blend can be more expensive than buying a single bottle of a pre-mixed blend. Especially if you end up not using the rest of the oils in your single bottles. Ready-made blends offer a more budget-friendly way to try out something new.
  • Space and Shelf Life: Individual essential oils require proper storage and have varying shelf lives. With a blend, you have just one bottle to store and keep track of, simplifying your aromatherapy collection.

While making your own blend offers a fun and personalized experience, ready-made diffuser blends have a few benefits of their own, too.

Final Thoughts

Have a lovely Valentine’s Day!

I hope you enjoyed this guided journey through some lovely love essential oil blends from reputable sources.

I had a lot of fun exploring, comparing, and sharing the unique qualities each one brings to the table.

“Be Mine” from Edens Garden won my personal smell test. I was so thrilled that it smells nothing like any of the other blends compared here.

No matter which blend you choose for yourself, I hope it enriches your moments of love and intimacy.

xoxo,
