Studies over the years have found that essential oils have beneficial effects in anti-obesity treatment. In addition to helping with weight loss, the use of essential oils can also counteract the effects of weight-related health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular risks. Namely, recent studies have shown that essential oils can reduce fat mass when taken with the diet or inhaled.

Olfactory stimulation with the scent of grapefruit essential oils, for example, can increase lipolysis — the process of breaking down fats — to reduce appetite and body weight. Similarly, other essential oils, like those extracted from sweet oranges, can have anti-obesity effects and induce weight loss.

As you can see, knowing the right essential oils to use can help you on your way to effective and healthy weight loss. Of course, there are other things you can do to help induce natural weight loss and keep yourself healthy.

This helps curb sugar cravings and reduce feelings of the “munchies” while fortifying and stimulating digestion.

In fact, improved digestive functions can help you lose weight more naturally — instead of restricting yourself from eating. Today, modern weight loss programs encourage healthy eating instead of dieting, as well as lifestyle changes like getting adequate sleep and being in the right mindset. Instead of simply reducing what you eat, the focus has shifted towards eating healthier and more nutritious foods rich in fiber and protein. When combined with essential oils like ginger oil, this makes for a more sustainable and natural approach to weight loss.

Massaging the legs, arms, back, and neck with wintergreen oil after a workout can help your body recover and relax.
