Are Simply Earth Oils Good Quality?
First and foremost, let me address the essential oils quality of Simply Earth oils.

In summary:
- Simply Earth essential oils are verified for high quality via GC/MS testing.
- Any test results are publicly available for download on their website.
- Oils are bottled and stored in dark amber glasses.
- Simply Earth uses proper essential oil labeling techniques: they mention the latin plant names, list all ingredients in a blend, and have added any possible precautions right onto the label.
- All oils include information for use with children, and whether or not an oil is safe for certain ages of kids.

What’s included in the Simply Earth Subscription Box?
The Simply Earth essential oils recipe box is a subscription program that sends you a monthly box of essential oils.
(If you wish, you can also have the box delivered every 2nd month, 3rd month, or whatever cadence you’re comfortable with. You can easily start and pause your subscription at any time. Or just buy a single box that you’re interested in. But more on that later.)
Each monthly box includes:
4 Essential Oils
4 x 15ml essential oils
Most of the time, the oils included are 4 x 15 ml essential oils. Some months, I’ve seen 3 x 15 ml and 1 x 5 ml. But I’ve never yet seen a month with 2 x 5 ml bottles.
The essential oils are usually a mix of single oils (such as Lavender, Juniper Berry, Cajeput, Ho Wood, Geranium, you name it…), and blends. In my experience, it’s usually 3 single oils and 1 blend, but some months I’ve seen 2 singles and 2 blends.
DIY Ingredients

Each month, you’ll get a few extra ingredients in your box to help you make the monthly recipes. It’s usually something like a lotion base, small jar of mango butter, additional powders or flower buds. It’s always something different and something fun to work with!
Recipe Accessories
The accessories included in this box are a small body spray container, bath salts test tube, hot stone massage rock, and gift tags.
Each monthly recipe box from Simply earth will also include accessories needed for storing the recipes. This can be tin jars, an extra spray bottle, molds for bath bombs or soap making, etc.

Every box includes a sticker sheet that you can use to label your bottles and recipe creations.
I usually start by labeling the essential oil bottle tops with the round stickers.
Each recipe label also has a spot to put your date, which is useful for things like expiry dates or best-before reminders.
Most of the time, there is also a fun “just because” sticker included, like the “Face care hero” badge from the box pictured above. I use these to decorate my notebook or journals… if my kids don’t get to them first and steal them from me…
What is the Big Bonus Box?

At the beginning of your subscription, and every 6 months thereafter, you’ll receive a Big Bonus Box along with your shipment.
This box includes additional ingredients and supplies that you’ll need for the next 6 months of recipe making:
- 1 x 4 oz Sweet Almond Oil
- 1 x 4 oz Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 1 x 8 oz Solid Coconut Oil
- 6 x 10 ml Roll-On bottles
- 6 x 5 ml Essential oil bottles (with brand new droppers, of course)

Each monthly box always has a roll-on bottle recipe. So you’ll be needing the 6 x 10ml roll-on bottles to make those recipes
Each month also usually includes a diffuser master blend, which you’ll be storing in the 5ml dark amber glass essential oil bottles.
What sort of recipes will I get?
Now the magic of these essential oil subscription boxes lies in the recipes included.
I’ve been subscribed to this program for over 3 years, and I have not yet gotten bored or tired of their recipes! This definitely speaks to the expertise and depth of knowledge of Simply Earth’s chief recipe maker, Katie Veldkamp.
Each month usually has a theme, something like Facial Beauty, Cold & Flu Relief, Candle Making, or Massage Oils. It’s always something different and always something fun!
